SKYLAR: Please 

ASHER: will you be a good girl 

SKYLAR: yes. Please Asher, I’m aching 

I couldn’t help but sob. These feelings were new to me. 

ASHER: No 

He ended the call. And I couldn’t help but keep crying. I guess I fell asleep because when I woke up the sun was out. I sat up and rolled over my ass was bruised. I got off the bed and grabbed my bag. Before I left, I looked at my reflection in the mirror. My eyes were puffy and red. 

I left the apartment and headed out. I was in the elevator and as the doors were about to 

close for some reason I looked up and Dorian Sterling was standing in the hallway looking at me. As the doors closed, he looked at me with a look of regret and sadness. What was 

his problem. 

The apartment was all the way on the fifth floor. The elevator stopped on the fourth floor 

and Dorian walked in. He didn’t say anything neither did I. He took the sunglasses off and 

looked at me. 

“Why were you crying“? he asked. 

“it’s none of your business“, 

He grabbed me, pinning me against the wall. What the fuck. 

“Mr. Sterling please let me go“, 

The elevator stopped in the lobby, and he pushed the button for the fifth floor. 

“Mr. Sterling please stop this. Please. He’s going to get mad at me“. I said 

This man was insane. He leaned into me and licked my neck. What the fuck was 

happening in my life.

Chapter 21 

“Sorry“, he said letting go of me and pulling away. When the elevator stopped, he got off. I hurriedly pushed the button for the lobby and sank down to the floor. 

Once in the lobby I stood up and ran straight out and got into my car. Once there I tried to rationalize my thoughts. I grabbed my phone and texted the asshole. 

SKYLAR: Sterling just cornered me in the elevator and did something. 

ASHER: What did he do? 

He was too calm, if another man is mentioned he loses his shit and sends for me. 

SKYLAR: He pinned me against the wall and licked my neck. 

ASHER: I’ll handle that. 

SKYLAR: Where are you? 

ASHER: Home 

SKYLAR: are you still mad at me? 

ASHER: Yes 

SKYLAR: suit your fucking self, Maybe I’ll go to Sterling. 

ASHER: SKY…… 

I ended the call and turned the phone off and headed back to the dorm. Once there I went 

to the Dean’s office. I told him I was still looking for an apartment and would leave as soon as I found an apartment. He just said okay. I called Miles and Told him if Asher called him and asked where I was to say he doesn’t know. He agreed only after I promised I would tell him everything. 

If he couldn’t find me then it was his problem. As long as I was on campus, he couldn’t do shit, neither could Dorian Sterling. Monday morning, I was up early and headed to class. Tuesday the same thing. On Wednesday I took a chance and walked to the gates and peeked outside, Samuel was parked out there. I made sure I hid the car; I left the phone in 

the car. 

After the first week I was relieved. No sign of Sterling or Asher. He was going to be royally

pissed the hell off at me, but he deserved that shit for what he did to me. I wasn’t going to let him control me. The second week was easier, and I wasn’t so jumpy. Today was 

Friday, I needed to go see Miles. I had just gone to the car to get the phone As I was heading in, I was in the hall when I saw Dorian Sterling walking in, and I ran.

I made an escape. I was in the library, when I heard it over the system. 

“SKYLAR RAINES PLEASE VISIT THE ADMIN OFFICE“. 

Shit, I wonder if it had anything to do with Sterling. I made my way over to the admin office. Giselle was sitting at her desk.
