Archie then told them how Ivy would lie saying you didn’t need a ride back to campus, Aunt Darla told them what she had been doing to you including What happened at the Sterling’s residence. That’s when they shut up. Maya said Ivy confided in them that you stole her man, and you had been messing with her that’s why they behaved like that with you. She was lying to everyone“, he said 

“Jesus. I have no words for her. Anyway, I’m moving out of the dorms“, 

I told him what happened earlier, and we decided to go house hunting. We called Darla to 

let her know that we would be going out later that night. I saw some really nice 

apartments but couldn’t decide. We were checking an apartment when the demon called. 

SKYLAR: Yes sweetheart 

Miles looked at me and started laughing. 

ASHER: I can get used to that. Why are you going around Havenwood? 

SKYLAR: looking for an apartment close to campus 

ASHER: stop looking. I’ll find one. I don’t want you walking around 

SKYLAR: Why? 

ASHER: Just because. Now tell me what did he say to you. 

SKYLAR: It’s nothing. He was asking about my grades. His company is my sponsor. How did you know He was in the office with me.

He ended the call. I was left looking at the phone. This fucker was really getting ahead of himself. Twenty minutes later I received the address. Miles and I headed over, it was a

three–bedroom apartment in a closed off community. I guess only wealthy people lived 

here. 

From the balcony I could see the campus also the club in the distance. 

“Damn he has connections“, Miles said standing beside me on the balcony. The woman walked out and came to us. 

“Ms. Raines, you just need to sign the lease, and the apartment is all yours for the next two years“, she said. 

“Wait. I didn’t. How much does this cost“? I asked, looking at her and she smiled. 

“It’s already been paid for, the entire Two years rent has been paid you just need to sign“, she said 

“Who Paid“? Miles asked, she looked uncomfortable. 

“You were warned you not to say anything weren’t you“? I asked and she nodded. I just 

sighed. I took the pen from her and signed the lease. She gave me the keys and left. 

“Miles, this guy is dangerous. He… I don’t know what I have gotten myself into. He won’t 

let me leave and he knows exactly what I’m doing, where I’m going, who I’m talking to, and this bothers me. I know nothing about him, not a single thing except his name is 

Asher, he’s thirty and nothing else“. 

“Come on let’s go grab a drink. We’ll figure it out“, he said standing up, so we did just 

that. We went and got lunch. Then went to a bar and sat drinking. My exams were over, 

and I could relax. We sat drinking and talking. It was well into the evening when Darla showed up. 

Then we went Bar hopping. Asher called but I didn’t answer. I saw Samuel following us. It 

was close to two in the morning when we were leaving a bar and Samuel came up to me. 

Darla and Miles looked at me. 

“Miss, he’s extremely angry at you. He’s waiting for you”, Samuel said 

I wasn’t drunk drunk, but I had enough alcohol in me. 

“I’m not going. Tell him to fuck off“, I grabbed Darla’s hand, and we kept walking.

“Sky are you sure you want to piss your man off“? Miles asked 

“He’s not my man and I don’t care“. 

“Alright Let’s head to the club“, Darla said 

We got into the car and headed to the country club. Halfway there a bike rode past us and stopped in the middle of the road. Luckily Miles slammed on the brakes at the right time. The person was walking towards the car. 

“Umm Sky I think that’s for you“, Miles said 

He came over to the passenger side, “Skylar you have two minutes to get out of the car“, he said, and boy did he sound pissed the fuck off. I looked at him, from the lights I could clearly see the tattoos and the marks I left when I marked him. So he wasn’t Dorian 

Sterling. 

“No, Asshole. Leave me alone“, I wasn’t budging. 

He yanked the door open and pulled me out and threw me over his shoulder. 

“Don’t worry, she’ll be fine“, he said to Darla or Miles. 

“ASHER PUT ME DOWN. YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE. PUT ME DOWN NOW” 

He slapped my ass. “Be quiet. I’m done being sweet. The rules are there so you don’t get hurt. You ignored all my calls, all my messages. Told Samuel I should fuck off. Refusing to 

come with him, refusing to get out of the car, Drinking and flirting with other men”, he said as he continued walking. 

I saw the car coming. The car stopped and he opened the door and put me inside. He tied 

my hands and blindfolded me and slammed the door shut. Samuel started driving.
