Chapter 17 

“Black hair“, I said, I leaned into him and kissed him. He fisted my hair and squeezed my throat tighter as he deepened the kiss. I couldn’t help but moan into his mouth, when his hands closed over my breast I moaned louder. 

“Was that what you needed baby, conformation“? he said against my throat. 

“Yes“, I answered breathlessly. 

“Will you be a good girl and listen to me now“? he asked as he took one of my nipples 

into his mouth.

“Yesss“, I moaned, I bit his neck marking him and he bit down on my nipple harder making my body tremble. 

“Asher” 

“Fuck. I need to send you home or I’ll take you right now“, he said. I could feel his body shaking. He was trying to restrain himself. 

“Okay“. 

Samuel took me back to Miles’s place. When I walked in Miles was sitting in the living 

room. 

“I’m sorry if I worried you Miles“. 

“Baby girl I wasn’t worried. He told me he took you“, he said, and I looked at him. 

“He called you“? 

“Yea. All he said was ‘Skylar is with me, she’ll be back soon‘. He sounds so fucking hot”, 

he said smiling. I couldn’t help but laugh. 

“Umm, the picture he sent. That’s what he really looks like. He wouldn’t let me see his face though. Black hair and those damn cerulean eyes. I don’t think he’s Sterling because 

those tattoos on his neck would be hard to hide. One way or the other I’ll find out who he 

is“.

Chapter 17 

“God damn. He let you see him“? he asked 

“Yea, I was being bitchy. I just wanted to know who it was. I can live with it“. 

“SOOO. You’ll give your stud a chance“? he asked, looking at me. 

“Yes, might as well. It’s not like he’s hurt me or anything. He’s been taking care of me, and he doesn’t push me to do anything I don’t want to do. You know what I mean“. 

“Sex“, Miles said laughing. 

“You’re incorrigible. I need to head to the dorms. I have an exam tomorrow. I’ll be busy for a while with Exams. When I’m finished, we’ll have a party me, you and Darla“. 

“Now that’s what I want to hear“, he said 

On my way back to the campus. I saw a car following me. Jesus, I grabbed the phone and dialed his number. I put it on speaker. 

SKYLAR: umm There’s a car following me. 

ASHER: it’s okay. It’s Samuel. He’ll be following you around now just to make sure those 

crazy women don’t do anything to you. 

SKYLAR: okay 

ASHER: be careful. Text me when you’re at the dorm. 

SKYLAR: I will bye. 

I ended the call and continued driving. When I got to my room, I stopped for a second. All of Ivy’s stuff was gone, and another girl was in the room. She was lying on her bed on her 

phone. 

“You’re Skylar right“? she asked 

“Yes, you are“? 

“Oh, I’m Leah. Your new roommate“. She said. 

“Oh okay“.

Chapter 17 

I grabbed a quick shower and changed and began studying. I Texted Asher I was at the dorms and continued studying. The next morning, I left Leah asleep and went down to the cafeteria. I had a quick breakfast and went to the lecture hall and began studying. I texted Darla for some time off for my exams and she said it was okay, and she understood. 

The first week of exams had me agitated. Asher called but I just told him I’m studying. He was mad but he would have to live with that. My new roommate was a pain in the ass. I’ve walked into our shared room at least three nights this week and found her in there with three different guys. I didn’t mind if she had friends over, but they were going through my stuff and today was the last straw. 

I knocked on the office door. I heard him so I opened the door and walked in but stopped short. Dorian Sterling was sitting there talking to the dean. I just ignored him. 

“Ms. Raines what can I do for you“, Dean Giddens Asked 

“I would like to move out of the dorms“, I said. Sterling looked at me. 

“Might I ask why“? Mr. Giddens asked 

“Ivy was a nutcase. Now I have someone in that room with me that doesn’t study. I don’t know and don’t care. For the past two weeks every time I walk into that room, some guy is there, they go through my personal belongings and today, I find two of them having sex on my bed. I can’t study in the room because it’s filled with smoke and the smell of Alcohol. I just want to study in peace“. I said
