Chapter 20
Chapter 20
Not sure what Willow had said to him, but just a few minutes later, the boy walked up to her on his own.
He wrapped his little arms tightly around her neck, buried his face in her shoulder, and began to sob.
Willow held him close and gently carried him over to a park bench nearby. They sat on the grass, and she just talked to him. No pressure, no judgment.
Half an hour later, the boy actually fell asleep in her arms.
When his parents approached again, they were utterly stunned.
“This has never happened before… Every time he has an episode, we have to use sedatives to calm him down,” the
boy’s father said, shocked. “I didn’t know it was even possible without medication…”
Willow spoke softly, “Bipolar disorder is mainly rooted in emotional imbalance… it’s not just a medical issue, it’s a psychological one. Medication can help, yes, but what truly matters is emotional connection. You have to talk to him, earn his trust, and guide him into a safe emotional space.
“When he lashes out, it’s not because he’s trying to be bad… it’s because he feels unsafe. Yelling at him will only
make him feel more isolated, more frightened, and more out of control.”
As she spoke, she reached into her bag, pulled out a pen and paper, and wrote down a list of herbs.
“If you trust me, you can try brewing this herbal remedy for him. Mix it with some stevia or honey to help him take
it… these herbs are calming and safe.”
His mother asked in awe, “Are you a doctor?”
Willow shook her head, slightly embarrassed. “No, I don’t have a license. I just learned a few things from family. But
the herbs I listed are safe… you don’t need to worry.”
After gently handing the sleeping boy back to his parents, Willow waved goodbye and walked away.
Not far off, Glenn had witnessed the entire scene.
He’d happened to be driving by and stopped when he saw a crowd forming. He parked and ran over… but Willow had already gotten there first.
Watching her calm down Watson Blake with nothing but words and presence, Glenn’s mind raced.
Rick’s condition was exactly the same as this boy’s. If she could help Willy, she might be the one who could help Rick
too.

Chapter 20
She wasn’t just beautiful… there was a natural warmth to her smile, like sunlight in the middle of winter. She was, without a doubt, a healing presence. Rick might actually accept her.
The more Glenn thought about it, the more excited he got.
He knew the Blake family. After exchanging a few words with them, he took a look at the herbal list Willow had written. It was all calming medicine… traditional remedies with fewer side effects than pharmaceuticals,
That would be a huge asset for Rick’s healing.
He turned around and scanned the area, realizing Willow was already walking away. He quickly tried to catch up.
But just then…
A black van screeched to a halt beside her. Several men jumped out and grabbed Willow, dragging her into the vehicle before speeding off.
“Sht! Sht, sht, sht, sh*t… !”
Even calm and collected Glenn couldn’t hold back. He watched the van disappear into traffic, then immediately pulled out his phone and dialed.
“Damien ! I just found the perfect woman to care for Rick, but she just got kidnapped… like, right in front of me! You need to find her, fast. If we lose her, we might lose the only hope Rick’s got!”
Damien ‘s voice came through, sharp. “What kind of woman?”
“She’s gorgeous, man. Gentle, calm, soft voice. Super white skin, slim, long hair, dimples when she smiles…. she’s like sunshine, I swear…”
“Focus!”
“A woman! A seriously beautiful one!”
Damien sighed. “Give me the address. I’ll get someone on the surveillance.”
“Beverly Road!”
Damien had just hung up the phone when someone knocked on the car window.
“Boss! We’ve got her!”
Damien turned to look out the window… then did a double take.
He frowned.
Could it be…? Glenn had just said the woman he saw was kidnapped in broad daylight. Was it her?

Chapter 20
No way.
Because the woman in front of him didn’t look gentle in the slightest.
Willow’s eyes widened in shock when she saw him. “?!”
And the moment she saw his face, her blood pressure spiked straight through the roof.
She was already furious from failing to get the divorce earlier. But now… seeing him again? Her rage exploded like
a volcano.
“What the hell is your problem?! You again?! What do you even want from me? Let go! I’m warning you… what you did yesterday was illegal detention! You think I won’t call the cops right now?! I’ll dial 911 right here and now if you don’t let go!”
She yelled so fiercely, her little face was flushed red from the fury burning inside her.
Damien narrowed his eyes. Most women, when they saw him, were either too afraid to speak or too nervous to even look him in the eye.
But this one? She was full–on feral.
He barked an order to Nico to go look for the “gentle” woman Glenn had described.
Then he motioned to his men to shove Willow into the car.
The moment she was inside, Willow scrambled for the door, trying to get out.
But no matter how hard she pushed, it wouldn’t open.
She yanked violently at the handle, almost tearing it off in the process.
Damien ‘s voice dropped, cold and clipped. “You’re not leaving unless I say so.”
Willow whipped her head around and glared at him like he’d personally burned down her house.
He looked too much like Brad and Mac. It was impossible not to think of the wild man from six years ago.
They say an adult’s breakdown can happen in a single moment.
And this… was her moment.
Years of silent suffering, sleepless nights, all the pain, shame, and injustice she’d swallowed down like poison… they were all tied to this man.
Without another word, she launched herself at him and started swinging.

She didn’t want to reason. She wanted a fight.
Damien caught her wrists, his brows raised in disbelief, “You’re seriously trying to hit me?”
“Damn right I am! I want to kill you!”
“…Are you crazy?”
What the hell had this woman been raised on? Wolf blood and dynamite?
People didn’t even joke about hitting Damien, let alone attempt it in real life.
He was still caught in disbelief when pain shot through his wrist.
Willow, realizing she couldn’t break free, did the next best thing… she bit him. Hard. So hard she drew blood.
Damien flung her off with a dark scowl. “What are you, a damn dog?!”
Willow didn’t respond. She didn’t need to.
Before he could react, she lunged at him again.
Willow was fuming today… like full–blown, no–brakes kind of rage. All she wanted was to throw hands with this
man.
Damien ‘s face was as dark as a thundercloud. He grabbed her again, this time with more force, his voice like ice.
“Are you insane? Or do you have a death wish?”
Willow didn’t even hesitate.
“Yeah, I’m insane! And you’re the reason why! You ruined me! You might as well have killed me! It’s all your fault!
All of it!”
Damien frowned hard. He couldn’t make sense of her shouting. She was ranting like she’d completely lost it.
Clearly, threats weren’t working. Time to shift tactics.
“If you keep this up,” he warned coldly, “you won’t just owe me fifty million. I’ll drag your ass into court and sue you for five hundred million.”

Willow froze.
Money.
The one word that always hit home… besides sons, it was her greatest weakness.

Chapter 20
She’d lived through rock–bottom poverty. She knew exactly how painful life was without money… how brutal it was to scrape by, to beg, to starve.
She knew what it was like to count every coin, and how soul–crushing it felt to never have enough.
Damien had her right where it hurt. She blinked up at him, her eyes wide with fury and frustration, but her fists… stayed still.
She didn’t throw another punch.
But damn if she wasn’t boiling inside.
The man who had ruined her life… her wild man from six years ago… was standing right in front of her.
And she couldn’t even hit him. Couldn’t curse him. Couldn’t do anything.
The injustice of it made her want to scream.
