Chapter 18
Meanwhile, Willow had already been brought back to their new place by her three little boys.
Not long ago, after they had finished washing up, the boys came out to find their mom gone and the door wide open. That alone was enough to make them panic. Brad quickly pulled up the surveillance footage and discovered she’d been taken away. Without hesitation, he led his brothers to the rescue.
Willow, completely unaware that her own sons were the ones who had busted her out, was still shaken.
She remembered hearing the blaring alarm. The moment she reached the door and pushed… it swung open. She didn’t think twice before bolting downstairs… only to see her three sons waiting right there.
The four of them had immediately flagged down a taxi and rushed home.
Once they’d settled, Willow took a deep breath and tried to steady herself. Then she asked,
“How did you three end up there at that exact time?”
Brad answered calmly, “We noticed you weren’t home after we finished washing up, and the landlady downstairs said you were taken away by some guys. We checked your GPS tracker and went to find you. Just as we arrived, you were coming downstairs. Mom, what happened to you?”
Willow didn’t overthink the GPS comment… Brad was smart and always carried gadgets… but she quickly turned to Mac, narrowing her eyes in suspicion.
“Mac, tell Mom the truth. Why did you scratch that man’s car?”
Mac blinked a few times, then suddenly frowned, his voice full of anger.
“Was it that scumbag couple who took you?”
“What scumbag couple?”
Mac huffed. “If I’d known they were gonna pull more stunts after that, I wouldn’t have let them off so easy at the station! They were asking for it! Don’t worry, Mom. I’ll handle it for you… I’ll make them pay!”
He puffed up his tiny chest and was ready to storm off, fists clenched.
But Willow grabbed him and pressed him down into a chair, her face stern.
“What happened at the train station?”
Seeing there was no hiding it anymore, Brad pouted, then gave her the whole play–by–play.

By the time he finished, Willow’s eyes were wide with disbelief.
She had no idea all of that had gone down.
Heart aching, she pulled Adam into her arms and carefully checked him for injuries.
The bruises on his tiny leg still hadn’t faded completely. Willow’s chest tightened like someone had gripped her heart and wouldn’t let go,
Her voice wavered as she asked,
“Did it hurt, sweetie?”
Adam, ever the little sunshine, immediately tried to comfort her.
“It doesn’t hurt! Not at all! Don’t cry, Mommy. See? I can still jump!”
He wiggled free of her hug and hopped around the room a couple times like a little bunny, beaming as he did it.
Watching her little one put on a brave face only made Willow tear up even more. She reached out and pulled him back into her arms, holding him tight, her hand gently rubbing the back of his head.
Her heart ached.
Of the three, Mac was the most sensitive…. he needed more care than the other two. So while she loved them all equally, she gave Mac just a little more softness.
“I’m sorry, baby… Mommy didn’t protect you well. You got hurt because of me.”
Adam shook his head quickly.
“That’s not true! The nice auntie downstairs said I looked chubby and healthy. She said I must have a great mommy
taking care of me!”
Willow’s chest flooded with warmth, and she just hugged him tighter for a while.
Later, she pulled out her homemade herbal salve from the suitcase and gently applied it to his bruises.
Then she turned her attention to Brad.
She gave him a proper talking–to… balanced and fair. Where he deserved praise, she gave it. Where he needed correction, she didn’t hold back.
“A real man doesn’t go looking for trouble,” she said seriously. “But he also doesn’t run from it. You stood up for your little brother, and for that, I’m proud of you.”
Brad straightened his back proudly, clearly basking in her approval.

But going off on his own and scratching someone’s car, all without telling Mommy… that was definitely not okay.
And then…
Willow gave Mac a stern talking to about the fireworks, her voice sharp and serious. She warned him never to play with that kind of thing again.
What she didn’t know was… they weren’t fireworks at all. They were miniature explosives personally designed and built by Mac.
To keep Mommy from getting upset, Mac nodded like a little angel, acting as if he couldn’t be more obedient.
As for why they had suddenly changed places to live, Brad casually made up an excuse, and Willow believed it.
Later, Brad asked her, “Did they do anything to you, Mommy?”
Willow frowned at the thought of that fifty million compensation fee. She didn’t want her three kids to worry, so she
lied.
“No, everything’s been handled. It’s over now. Go play. Mommy’s just going to the bathroom.”
While Willow was in the bathroom, the three little ones snuck into the bedroom and held a secret meeting.
Brad said, “There’s no way it’s over, no matter what Mommy says. If it was, they wouldn’t have locked her
that.”

Mac clenched his tiny fists.
“They’re the ones who want to end it? I say no way! Our precious Mommy isn’t someone they can just bully! Bro, you and Adam stay here with Mommy. I’ll go teach those scumbags a lesson! Let them find out what happens when they mess with us!”
He was already halfway to the door when Brad stopped him.
“Not this time. I’ll go.”
“You? But they’ve got bodyguards. What if you can’t take them?”
Brad narrowed his eyes, locked onto his tablet screen. He was small, but those eyes? All business.
After a long pause, he said calmly,
“Mommy said this is a country governed by law. We have to follow the law. So this time, we’ll get justice legally.”
Meanwhile, Willow had no idea that her three little cubs had just set their sights on Damienagain.

That night, she couldn’t sleep.
The five million debt weighed on her like a boulder, suffocating her.
Even if someone put a gun to her head, she couldn’t cough up that kind of money.
And every time she thought about that man’s face, her blood pressure spiked. He looked way too much like Brad and
Mac.
Which could only mean one thing… he was most likely the man from that night.
Just thinking about it made her want to… choke him out!
But she wasn’t 100% sure. And without certainty, she didn’t know what to do next…
After a long, sleepless night, Willow finally came up with a plan at dawn.
There was no way she could come up with fifty million anytime soon. And now that the “wild man” might try to take her children, she had to act fast.
First step: divorce Damien, fast.
Then move the kids out of this city.
Once she got them out safely, she’d figure out a way to pay him back.
So Willow got up, washed up, scribbled a note telling the kids to stay inside and not go wandering off, then left quietly.
She hailed a cab and headed straight for Damien ‘s estate… to get that divorce.
Meanwhile, Damien ‘s world was already in chaos.
Early that morning, he got the call.
The building Damien had inspected just yesterday had been bought out overnight… at a price even higher than he’d expected.
The parcels of land he had his eye on? Snatched away before dawn.
And those contracts he was just about to sign? All intercepted and stolen.
Initial estimates said the Damien Group had taken a hit of several billion.
But that wasn’t what pissed Damien off the most. Money was never the issue… he had more than enough. Losing a

few billion? Barely a sting.
What really lit him up was the fact that someone was clearly coming for him.
He’d ruled the business world for years… his name alone could shake the entire economy. In his presence, no one dared even breathe too loud, let alone go up against him.
And yet, here it was.
What made things worse? Even his top hackers couldn’t trace the culprit.
That just poured fuel on the fire. He was raging inside, but had nowhere to vent.
When the boss was in a foul mood, everyone felt it. A dark cloud hung over the entire Damien Group.
Nico was running in circles, nearly breaking his phone with all the calls he was making.
Before they could even piece together what was happening, another disaster hit… the Damien Group’s entire computer system crashed.
Everyone who should’ve been frantically working was now sitting at their desks, wide–eyed and helpless.
“Are the IT people complete idiots?!” Damien exploded.
Nico, sweating bullets, kept urging the tech team to fix it, fast.
But the tech guys? They were about to cry. These weren’t amateurs… they were some of the best in the country. But today… today they’d run into a real master.
“Okay, okay! We’re back online!”
After what felt like forever, the system rebooted. The techs sighed in collective relief, wiping their foreheads.
But the second the screens lit up, the entire office froze.
And then… dead silence. Total shock.
Because across every monitor, one thing was displayed.
