Chapter 11
Willow’s heart skipped a beat. Panic surged up her spine.
“He’s already back?”
“Yes, Ma’am. He came home, but when he saw you weren’t there, he left right away. Before he left, he said… he wants you to come home and sign some papers. He… he wants a divorce.”
Boom.
It was like something exploded in Willow’s mind.
Damien wanted a divorce?!
She knew he had always resented this marriage. He hadn’t even shown up on the wedding day, and since then, he had never once made an appearance.
They had been married for two years and never even met. They didn’t even know what the other looked like.
But in those two years, he hadn’t treated her poorly.
She’d never lacked for food, clothing, or shelter. Even when she was sick, he would instruct the maids to take good
care of her.
Despite being separated by thousands of miles, she had felt his concern.
She always believed Damien just didn’t like the idea of a political marriage… he didn’t dislike her personally. As long as she was a good wife, she thought, maybe they’d become like any other loving couple, caring for each other and growing old together.
She couldn’t have been more wrong.
“You don’t have to feel too bad, Ma’am. Sir said this entire villa is yours. Plus two luxury cars… and a whole lot of
money.”
The housekeeper’s voice was full of excitement.
But how could Willow not feel bad?
She was devastated… shattered inside.
Her life was already in ruins, and this was just another piece falling apart.
What right did she have to say no to the divorce?

Chapter 11
Willow sniffled and said hoarsely, “I understand, I’ll come back and sign the papers.”
She ended the call, forced herself to get dressed despite the soreness in her body, and stumbled out of the airport.
Just as she left, dozens of sleek black luxury cars pulled up outside the terminal.
A swarm of bodyguards in black suits jumped out and surrounded the building
The assistant respectfully opened the car door, and Damien stepped out.
Handmade leather shoes. A bespoke, high–end suit. A limited–edition luxury watch.
Every inch of him screamed wealth, power, and precision… the signature of a man who ruled the game.
He was tall, with sharp features, and carried the cold, commanding aura of a born king.
People couldn’t help but stare, awestruck and cautious, as if looking up at someone untouchable.
Damien ignored all of them and walked toward the VIP lounge.
Last night, he had been poisoned… ate something tampered with and got ambushed.
In the chaos, he’d pulled a woman into a dark room and… taken her innocence.
Fearing his enemies would chase her down and hurt her too, he had left quickly to draw attention away.
Now that the danger was dealt with, he came back.
That had been her first time.
And he had sworn to her last night… he would take responsibility.
He would make her the happiest, most honored woman in the world.
He was Damien, and he always kept his word.
Before he reached the lounge, his assistant, Nico jogged up to him, slightly out of breath.
“Boss, we got a call from home. Madam already returned… but there’s more. Last night… she wasn’t alone. She was with another man. The signs were all over her.”
Nico hesitated before continuing, “The housekeeper said this isn’t the first time. Over the past two years, she’s been out late often, even spent nights away from home.”
His voice dropped lower. “Sometimes when she’s drunk, she talks crap in bars… said you’re a cripple, not worthy of her… that you’re just…”

“What?” Damien’s voice turned icy.
…“that you’re a toad lusting after a swan,” Nico said reluctantly.
“Hah.”
Damien pressed his thin lips together, his expression frosty.
That woman had been forced into his life two years ago. The Crawford family shoved her into the marriage to suppress him.
He had never even seen her. Not on the wedding day. Not once in two years.
But now… he had full control over his life. He wasn’t bound anymore.
The first thing he planned to do upon returning was divorce her.
It wasn’t about being heartless… they had no emotional foundation to begin with.
Divorce would be good for her. A release.
To compensate for the lost years of her youth, he had already arranged generous compensation: a luxury villa, two supercars, and a ten–million–dollar check.
But now it turned out… she was nothing but a cheap, shallow woman.
In that case, she didn’t deserve his generosity.
“The original divorce agreement is void. Draft a new one. She committed infidelity during the marriage. She walks out of this with nothing.”
“Yes, Sir!”
Damien walked to the lounge door. He calmed himself, fixed his cuffs, and smoothed down his jacket.
He wanted to meet her not with rage, but as the gentleman who would keep his promise.
He’d touched her. From that moment on, she was his.
But…
The lounge was empty.
She was gone.
Damien searched the entire airport. No trace.
Chapter 11
His brows knitted.
“Put the word out. I don’t care what it takes… money, manpower, whatever. Find her.”
Find her. Fulfill his promise.
Make her the most cherished, most honored woman in the world.
